Howard Charles Green (Minister of Defence Production; Minister of Public Works; Leader of the Government in the House of Commons; Progressive Conservative Party House Leader)

Progressive Conservative

Hon. Howard C. Green (Minister of Public Works):

Mr. Speaker, I suggest to the hon. member that he should not believe everything he reads in the papers about what goes on in our caucus, any more than reports about what goes on in his own. I shall be very glad to look into the situation with regard to this particular wharf. We are hoping to be able to send a number of the officials of our economics branch and of the Department of Transport down to Father Point very shortly to look into the whole question of the need there to facilitate navigation across the St. Lawrence river during the winter months.
