Mr. Purdy:

I just want to say a word on item 471 as to the railway employees and old employees on the Intercolonial Railway, whereby we are bringing their pensions up to $30. That is not good enough for this day and age. I would ask the minister next year please to take under consideration increasing this vote to bring the pensions of those retired intercolonial railway men up to a little bit more than $30 and at the same time to try to see if he cannot bring their widows under the provisions of this fund.
