Mr. O. C. Trainor (Winnipeg South):

should like to direct a question to the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration. Has the minister's attention been drawn to a report in the Winnipeg Tribune of May 24 to the effect that the government contemplates an amendment to the Indian Act which will have the effect of allowing Indians equality of opportunity for the consumption of alcoholic beverages? If so, does this foreshadow the establishment of beer parlours and liquor stores on Indian reservations?
