Louis Stephen St-Laurent (Prime Minister; President of the Privy Council)

Liberal

Mr. St. Laurent:

I imagine it will take quite a few minutes for the other place to give consideration to this bill. I know my experience has been that there are always some remarks made about the fact that they are required to consider a matter of such importance in a very short time. Therefore I would imagine that it would certainly not be possible for this house to resume its sitting before six o'clock.
