Mr. Drew:

I think the Minister of National Defence does need to clear up one point. Is it not correct that permission to use any badge with the crown is obtained not from a corresponding branch of the services in the United Kingdom but from the sovereign or representative of the sovereign? Surely the minister is not suggesting that the Royal Canadian Air Force, the Canadian artillery or any other branch of the services obtained permission from a corresponding branch of the services of the United Kingdom.
