Mrs. Fairclough:

The department offers no facilities for copyright, Mr. Chairman. The only procedure open to a composer is to mail a copy of the composition "fS~iiimself on a given date, sealed and registered, and never open it, in order that he may prove that the composition was his on that date. Such compositions can be copyrighted in the United States, and the only course open to Canadians is to copyright their compositions in the United States.
