Mr. M. J. Coldwell (Roseiown-Biggar):

May I direct a question to the Minister of Transport? In view of the announcement made this morning of an increase of 7 per cent in freight rates, will the government consider using its power under the Railway Act to rescind-I think that is the word in the act-or at least suspend the coming into effect of those rates until further consideration has been given to them?
