Hon. Alphonse Fournier (for the Minister of Fisheries) moved
that the house go into committee at the next sitting to consider the following resolution:
That it is expedient to bring in a measure to amend the Fisheries Research Board Act to increase the membership of the board from fifteen to nineteen including the chairman; to provide for the appointment by the governor in council of a permanent chairman at such salary as may be fixed by the governor in council, and for the appointment by the minister of an acting chairman who may, if he is not a member of the public service, be paid such remuneration as may be fixed by the governor in council; and also to abolish the position of executive director.

General, having been made acquainted with the subject matter of this resolution, recommends it to the consideration of the house.
