Mr. Speaker, in answer to the hon. member for Temiscouata I might say that this is an occasion which has not occurred for a good many years. The guns roared in celebration of the birthday of the consort of the reigning sovereign, as the regulations call for a twenty-one gun salute on that occasion. I am asked to add that the Prime Minister sent a message of congratulations to the Duke of Edinburgh.
