I should like to direct a question to the Minister of Resources and Development. What engineering advice has the minister secured, if any, in regard to -the cost of construction, cost of maintenance and usability of the trans-Canada

highway over the three mountain passes in western Canada? In particular has any engineering opinion been requested from the engineering staff of the minister's department, and if so, what was the substance of that advice?
