Mr. MacNICOL:

I should like to support the hon. member for Wentworth who is thoroughly familiar with the situation. He is quite right in suggesting that a tunnel should be there rather than a bridge. The government must keep up the bridge for the passage of boats, but quite often when it is open cars will line up for half a mile back. As the minister knows, recently when the bridge was open a car ran off the end and one or two occupants were drowned.
