Douglas Gooderham Ross

Progressive Conservative

Mr. ROSS (St. Paul's):

I do not think anybody in Canada begrudges the money to our international short-wave system. It can be one
of the greatest things for good that we have ever had in Canada in connection with trade if it is properly carried on and if the broadcasts are properly done. We are a democratic country. We must let the people of the rest of the world know what a fine place Canada is in which to live. When you listen to some of the members of the C.C.F. party to my left talk about Canada you would think that it was an awful place.
