Mr. THOMAS REID (New Westminster):

I should like to direct a question to the Minister of Trade and Commerce. I am sorry I did not have time to give him notice of it. In view of the urgency of the matter, I would ask the minister to take particular note of it and give an answer on Monday. Many hon. members from British Columbia, including the hon. member for Fraser Valley (Mr. Cruickshank) and the hon. member for Victoria, B.C., (Mr. Mayhew), this morning received an urgent wire from the minister of agriculture of British Columbia drawing their attention to the fact that feed grains and coarse grains are being diverted from British Columbia and directed to the eastern provinces, as a result of which the dairy industry in British Columbia is facing a shortage of coarse grains.
