Mr. A. J. BROOKS (Royal):

I should like to direct a question to whoever is acting Minister of Fisheries in the absence of that minister. The question is based on a report that the department has closed certain tributaries of the Saint John river to net fishing. This is the season of the year when people along the river fish for different kinds of fish, and I would ask the minister this question: Has the Department of Fisheries closed the Jemseg river and Raft channel to the Grand lake to all kinds of net fishing? If so, why has this been done? Will the department consider cancelling this order at once?
