Mr. MACKENZIE:

I regret that I must
rise to a point of order, because I am grateful to my hon friend for his kind1 remarks about myself. I happened to be Minister of National Defence at that time, and I want to say that the Prime Minister made a full statement on July 1, 1939, or 1940. There was never any request from the British government for the training of pilots refused by the government of the Dominion of Canada.
