Thomas Alexander Crerar (Minister of Mines and Resources)

Liberal

Mr. CRERAR:

It was intended last evening to proceed with the bills standing in the name of the Minister of Finance, but objection has been taken on the ground that they were not distributed. We are now sitting from eleven o'clock in the morning until eleven o'clock at night; and a very heavy additional burden is thus imposed on the printing office. In the general effort to expedite the business of the house I am sure that hon. members will take that into account. While this resolution was not specifically mentioned, I understand, last

night, we hope that the house will agree to go ahead with it.
