Mr. MICHAUD:

In the whole service there is only one combined ice breaker and car ferry. The possibility of using ice breakers to help open the channel for the Prince Edward Island ferry has been suggested, but the engineers have reported that it would be useless, because the Prince Edward Island is just as good as any other ice breaker that could be used in that locality.
