Progressive Conservative

Mr. A. H. BENCE (Saskatoon City):

I should like to address a question to the government, for attention of the Minister of Finance. My question has to do with a news item appearing in yesterday's Ottawa Journal, headed "One hundred commodities are not affected by price ceiling." Will the Minister of Finance give to the house within the next few days an explanation as to the reason for removing the price ceiling on the one hundred odd commodities referred to in that item? Will he at the same time state whether or not there will be a similar removal in connection with other so-called seasonal goods, such as those which are purchased for winter purposes only?
