November 6, 1941 (19th Parliament, 2nd Session)

LIB

William Lyon Mackenzie King (Prime Minister; Secretary of State for External Affairs; President of the Privy Council)

Liberal

Mr. MACKENZIE KING:

I have just said that it was thought advisable that the formal statements should be confined to those departments that have primarily to do with the war effort. Then, if there are other matters that hon. members wish to discuss, affecting other departments, whether they relate to the war effort or to purely departmental matters apart from the war effort, the same liberty will be afforded for asking questions and receiving answers and having discussion.
The committee rose and obtained leave to sit again at the next sitting of the house.
On motion of Mr. Mackenzie King the house adjourned at 10.10 p.m.
