The ' report of the parliamentary committee recommended that the government give consideration to certain action with reference to the subject mentioned by my hon. friend. That consideration has been given by the government during the recess, and the decision of the government has been not to amend the War Veterans' Allowance Act during this session or the next session, and generally the opinion that any remedy that can be given in

that direction should be given as part of social service legislation and not under the War Veterans' Allowance Act.
