This is required to provide for encasing the outer end of the public wharf with steel sheet piling, placing filling between the existing cribwork and proposed piling and laying a reinforced concrete deck four inches thick. work will not be as suitable as sheet steel piling, which will withstand to. a greater degree the ice shoves at this place and will also better support the Malagash salt company's conveyer and the structure they intend to erect to house machinery of considerable weight.
