Hugh Alexander Stewart

Conservative (1867-1942)

Mr. STEWART:

I notice an increase of $327,600 in this item. Referring to page 169, mail service by railway, we find that the
343G
Supply-Post Office

amount last year was 86,950,000 and this year $7,150,000, representing practically all the increase. How does this increase come about? Is there an extension of the service, or is it an increase in rates?
