CON

Ernest Edward Perley

Conservative (1867-1942)

Mr. PERLEY:

As a matter of privilege, Mr. Speaker, I ask you to delete the latter part of that wire from the records of this house. I do so because it was injected for the purpose of doing me an injury. I am drawing your attention to the ruling you made on February 14, recorded on page 382. In the concluding paragraph you said:
The house may be indulgent in these matters but it is a well known principle that a statement made in this house cannot be contradicted by a statement made by a person who is not a member of the house.
I therefore suggest that you delete the latter part of that wire, which has personal reference to me, from the records of the house.
