Mr. CRERAR:

I have no knowledge of any land being condemned by government engineers and then later made available for returned soldiers. I shall be glad to look up the point. I think the hon. member is referring to condemnation of land by provincial government inspectors or engineers, but these soldiers were settled on this land some fifteen years ago. I was in the house at that time and I recall the discussion that took place when the legislation was being put through. I have no recollection of that point having been brought up at any time, but I shall be glad to get some further information.
