Hon. Perrin Beatty (Wellington-Dufferin-Simcoe):

Madam Speaker, if I heard the parliamentary secretary correctly, yet another day has gone by without an answer to question No. 1,852. It is now six months to the day since I put the question on the Order Paper, and the Minister of Communications (Mr. Fox) should have been able to give me an answer to it by now. The chairman of the Canadian Film Development Corporation indicated that he gave the information to the minister some months ago, yet we still do not have an answer. I am wondering whether I can have one.

Hon. Francis Fox (Secretary of State and Minister of Communications):

Madam Speaker, the hon. member is taking my name in vain. The estimates of my department have been considered. I was expecting him at the committee to answer his questions, but the hon. member saw fit not to attend that sitting. I have been expecting a question in the House for the past two or three weeks.
