Mr. Speaker, I should like to address a question to the Secretary of State for External Affairs. In view of the prosperity in this country indicated in the Speech from the Throne, has the Department of External Affairs made arrangements to appoint a full time ambassador to South Korea?

I should like to direct a question to the Prime Minister. In view of representations by the Premier of Alberta with regard to the leasing problems in national parks, particularly mountain parks, is the Prime Minister now ready to announce a board of inquiry into the situation in mountain parks as promised in the election campaign?

SNOWPLOWS-REQUEST FOR SUSPENSION OF SALES TAX

On the orders of the day:

PC

James Ernest Pascoe

Progressive Conservative

Mr. J. E. Pascoe (Moose Jaw-Lake Centre):

Mr. Speaker, I have a question for the Minister of National Revenue. Because of the unusual number of blizzards on the prairies this winter many new snowplow clubs have been organized so that farmers can keep roads open for fuel supplies as well as for farm children to attend school. My question is prompted by letters I have received from constituents. Will the minister consider suspension of the 11 per cent sales tax on the purchase of snowplows by non-profit farm groups who work together to keep roads open for necessary services?
