I should like to direct a question to the Minister of Finance. Would the minister say if he has included in his budget the $200 deposit that the member for Joliette-L'As-somption-Montcalm is going to lose in the coming election?

Order. Hon. members have been taking a fair amount of latitude today, and perhaps now we can get to orders of the day.

I should like to address a question to the Postmaster General.

Was he made aware of the fact that a civil servant, that is a postmaster at St. Anne des Monts, tendered his resignation in order to run as a Liberal condidate at the next election?

Hon. Paul Hellyer (Trinity):

I should like to direct a question to the Minister of Transport. Does the government intend to insist that the Canadian National Railways fulfil the promise allegedly made by its president, Mr. Donald Gordon, that there would be no level crossings and that a security fence would be erected in built-up areas adjacent to the access line to the new marshalling yards in Vaughan township north of Toronto?

Mr. Azellus Denis (St. Denis):

Mr. Speaker, I should like to direct a question to the Minister of Transport.

To questions asked yesterday and the day before by the hon. member for Vaudreuil-Soulanges (Mr. Bourbonnais), the minister replied that the province of Quebec had not yet given an answer to the offer made by the federal government concerning the Sou-langes canal.

Here is my question. Should no reply to this offer be received from the province of Quebec within a reasonable time, would the Minister of Transport consider an offer from the Sulphur Converting Corporation?
