PRIVILEGE

MR. HANSELL REFERENCE TO STATEMENT BY HON. MEMBER FOR CHARLOTTE

On the orders of the day:

SC

Ernest George Hansell

Social Credit

Mr. E. G. Hansell (Macleod):

Mr. Speaker, I rise on a question of privilege. As shown on page 484 of Hansard, in a speech by the hon. member for Charlotte (Mr. Stuart), he stated:

My statement is supported and borne out by a letter written by the hon. member for Restigouche-Madawaska, and published in the Vers Demain, a paper which is supported and published by the Social Credit party.

My point of privilege is this. While Vers

Demain is published by the union of electors in Montreal, it is not published by the Social Credit party with which the Social Credit members in this house are affiliated.
