Hon. W. E. Harris (for the Minister of Veterans Affairs) moved

that the house go into committee at the next sitting to consider the following resolution:

That it is expedient to amend the War Veterans Allowance Act to increase the allowances and the permissible income; to further extend the benefits of the act; and also to provide for the salaries of the board.

He said: His Excellency the Governor General, having been made acquainted with the subject matter of this resolution, recommends it to the house.
