Not in the last several years. We sell it right out of the creamery.

Mr. Charlton:

I think there has probably been quite a bit of aged cheese going to England in the last few years. I will say this much, that our cheese exports this year will be less than they have been at any time in the last fifty years, and a good deal less than they were in 1938 and 1939 just previous to the war. The same thing is true of bacon. I want to ask the minister a question now and I will be finished. I want to ask him to give us the export figures for various agricultural products in 1938 and 1939, and again in 1948 and 1949. I think the pre-war and post-war figures will provide a fair comparison. I think he will find in various instances the figures for 1948 and 1949 are less than they were in 1938 and 1939. I do not want dollar figures; I want volume figures. Until the government takes a much more serious attitude than apparently many members on the opposite side of the House of Commons took tonight, during a previous speech, when they apparently thought this was all very funny-

Mr. Charlton:

I should like to have the minister give me the figures for the various agricultural products in the years 1938 and 1939, and particularly cheese and bacon, because they are two of the most important products, apart from wheat, that are exported to Great Britain. They are two of the products which we could export in sizable quantities to that country, especially cheese. The government has bought surpluses of some products and is holding them in storage, particularly powdered skim milk and butter.
