It should be borne in mind that the silt is carried far out into the Pacific ocean. For years the harbours on the gulf islands and on Vancouver island have been silting up as a result of the debris and silt brought down by the Fraser river, and it is worse than ever this year. I hope the minister will arrange for adequate dredging to be done there.
