CCF

Major James William Coldwell

Co-operative Commonwealth Federation (C.C.F.)

Mr. COLDWELL:

When we agreed to this half an hour ago, I understood that the vote would be taken at eleven o'clock. I heard the leader of the opposition (Mr. Bracken) say he was covering two subjects to-night, dominion-provincial relations and the cooperatives. He

has not yet concluded that part of his address dealing with dominion-provincial relations; therefore I am going to oppose extension of the time beyond eleven o'clock.

John Bracken (Leader of the Official Opposition)

Progressive Conservative

Mr. BRACKEN:

It is a matter of no importance to me, but I gather that if anyone objects to the suggestion offered by the minister, we have no choice but to adjourn. I might be finished in twenty minutes, but that is neither here nor there. Therefore I move the adjournment of the debate.

On motion of Mr. Bracken the debate was adjourned.
