Mr. MASSEY:

I have here a letter which informs me that Royal Henley are celebrating their hundredth anniversary this year, and have especially invited the Argonaut rowing club to send a crew over, because a crew is also going from Sydney, Australia, and will be there some time this week. I think we all realize the importance of Royal Henley in the field of sport, and in view of the fact that their majesties are at present in Canada and that Royal Henley has been postponed for a week in order that their majesties may be there as they always are, has any consideration been given to the matter of the expenses of the Argonaut rowing club, who will represent Canada at this event?

So far as I know, the only expenses for attendance at games that have Deen considered, at least the only ones that have been approved by the government, were for the Olympic games and the British empire games.

The minister realizes that I bring this matter up only because this is essentially British empire games, and Royal Henley is very important. Has consideration been given or will it be given to that, now that the matter has been brought to the minister's attention?
