Are any reports of the activities of this committee available? If so, where are they to be found? In the meantime could the minister give us more details of the expenditure?

Mr. GARDINER:

There are no formal reports of the investigations. Meetings were held of the national committee on barley to investigate the different types of barley that might be grown for different purposes, to encourage the spread of certain types of seed and to facilitate the marketing of barley. Those investigations are carried on with different organizations in the provinces. Discussions take place, and the information is available to those who take part in the discussions and is also made available to others, but no detailed report is made in connection with it.
