Mr. GOTT:

We realize, sir, that for some time your health has been impaired, which has made the dispatch of your duties the more arduous and strenuous. With our congratulations we couple our fondest hopes that you may experience a steady, speedy and complete return to your former health and vigour, which permitted you to serve your country both at home and abroad with credit to yourself and honour to all who possess the privilege of your acquaintance and friendship.

May we ask you, sir, to convey to the Sergeant at Arms, Major M. F. Gregg, V.C., our felicitations and congratulations also, since I learned that to-day is the anniversary of his birth as well.
