I take it that the motion refers to whoever was Minister of Finance. That is too small an observation for the Minister of Finance of this country to make; it is entirely out of keeping with the dignity of the office, but it is quite what we might expect.
For a return showing the names, positions occupied and salaries received of all persons employed in the several departments of the public service without certificates from the Civil Service Commission during each of the past five years.

The Income Tax Act contains certain provisions with regard to secrecy, and I am not sure whether this resolution would come under those clauses. In the absence of the minister, would the hon. member permit this motion to stand so that it may be looked into?
