Before you report the bill,
Mr. Chairman, I would like to direct your attention to a defect in the French translation of the bill. In the English version, in the 25th line of subsection 8 of section 6, the words appear, "no deduction to be allowed in respect of such goods not accounted for prior to the thirty-first day of March, 1924." These words are translated as follows: "aucune remise ne devant etre accordee con-cernant des marchandises possedees." The word "possedees" means on hand; it should be replaced by the proper French translation of the English words, "not accounted for."
