By Order in Council dated 25th November, 1921, the Right Honourable C. J. Doherty was named as counsel in the Reference to the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council of the question as to the location of the Labrador boundary between Canada and Newfoundland. A fee of $10,000 was authorized to compensate for his retainer and his services in the drafting and preparation of the case, and in addition a per diem allowance of $200 per day while engaged upon the hearing. The sum of $5,000 has been paid him up to date.
