No, but the director of mines had his attention called to an advertisement in the ' Bulletin ' issued by the Canadian Mining Institute, in which Mr. Cirkel is represented as 1 mining expert to the Dominion government.' The director has already called the attention of parties concerned to the advertisement and requested that it be withdrawn.

3. Mr. Cirkel has for four years been employed temporarily as outside expert doing special work. He is the author of the following reports for the government: ' Mica, its occurrence, exploitation and uses,' ' Asbestos, its occurrence, exploitation and uses,' * Graphite, its properties, occurrence,
