Mr. SAM@

HUGHES I do not know the political stripe of the hon gentleman, but I do know that the Woodstock, N.B., battery gave a good account of itself on all occasions when under fire in South Africa, and the men were several times in action.

__, i thmk that the hon. member will agree that there is a great cut-ferenee between a lot fronting on one of the principal streets of the town and two pieces of land in the rear of the building that could not be sold for anything else. The lot in question is within 300 feet of the post * Ce is next but one to the town building. The town has 4,000 inhabitants; its postal revenue is the fifth in the province, and it is one of the most important commercial and manufacturing towns of the province. The land on which the rink stands could not be bought in the open market for less than $2,500 or $3,000. Some resolutions reported. Sir WILLIAM MU-LOCK moved the adjournment of the House.
