The MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE.

Some years ago this parliament passed an Act for the purpose of protecting the health of employees on public works, by seeing that the employers provided proper sanitary arrangements for their employees, and especially in cases where there was no municipal organization. An inspector was appointed to see that the provisions of the Act were carried out, and his report appears in the annual report of my department.

The MINISTER OF AGRICULTURE.

Speaking from memory, I think that the Act would cover places where there is a municipal organization, but where the employees are not living in the ordinary way, but are camping on the works.
